Dr. Karen Pollock is board certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Clemson University in 1994.
After completing her first year of Law school at the University of South Carolina, Dr. Pollock decided to pursue a career in medicine and received her medical doctorate degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1999. She completed her pediatric residency at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC in 2002.
Dr. Pollock was a previous owner of a Pediatric Clinic in Clinton, SC from 2002-2011. She then relocated to Irmo, SC to be closer to family and joined the staff of Ballentine Pediatrics.
She and her husband, Elton, are blessed with four children. They enjoy traveling and spending time with family.
Amanda Slater is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of South Carolina in 2000 and completed her Family Nurse Practitioner degree from USC in 2002.
With her focus in Pediatrics, Amanda has been practicing family centered medical care in South Carolina since 2002. She began her love of pediatrics in nursing at Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital then began practicing as a family provider serving infants through adults.
She and her husband, Bob, have four children. They enjoy family activities, including various sports and church activities.
Dr. Elizabeth Donahue was with Ballentine Pediatrics from July 2015 through September 2016. Even though she was only here for a short period, a lifelong friendship and bond was developed that we will always be grateful for. We wish her the best for the future and pray that God will guide her and take care of her while she pursues new Locum Tenen adventures. She will always be a part of the Ballentine Pediatrics Family.
